?Bill Gates once said “The future of money is digital currency”. Do you agree? Are digital currencies the future of African economies?

I agree with Bill’s assertion. The world is evolving so rapidly technologically and Africa is not left out. The west in particular sets the pace and are already into digital currency. Africa is getting into the digital currency in a more naive way but it shows that the digital currency is the future of the digital economy.

Why is Africa bothered bothered about digital currencies when she is unable to maximize her rich natural resources? The west has taken advantage of Africa, explored Africa’s primary industry and selling value added goods back to Africans at exaggerated prices in a bid to boost their economies. As good as digital currencies are, Africans would do better if they move from primary industry to secondary and tertiary industries rather than digital currencies

I won’t say I know much about digital currencies but the little I understand about this isn’t so good. As the beneficiaries are those who start this the European and Americans and here in Africa seems to be a scam and not all through as many aren’t consistent. But as Bill Gates said the world is going digital and yes Africans will need to understand more on this to better flow.
